Mission
The Gaston County, North Carolina chapter #0086 of the National Association for Black Veterans (NABVETS) mission is to provide strategic, personal advocacy on behalf of its membership and all veterans seeking claims against the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, the upgrade of discharges and the development of positive lifestyles for all veterans and their families.

Vision
To be a viable, professional organization that offers all veterans a wide array of benefits and services with particular focus on homeless and economically disadvantaged veterans and their families.
